After so much delay, finally Idhu Namma Aalu made to theatres. However these delays helped to hike the expectations.

Idhu Namma Aalu gives us a glimpse of the life of current generation lovers. It will definitely be an enjoyable pleasant ride if you are ready to travel with the film. It is to be noted that the director who made Pasanga-2 is  the director of this film, which we can’t find by watching this film as director doesnot leave any shades of his previous fims giving fresh content. Despite a leisuredly uneventful screenplay, Pandiraj is able to sustain with his natural and witty dialogues though the narration is slow paced. Pandiraj’s intelligent use of Soori’s witty one-liners in between lengthy dialogues between the lead pairs is an example of his intelligent screenplay.

It is an absolute pleasure to watch Silambarasan, Nayantara and Andrea in a single film and their fantastic on-screen chemistry. Simbu has shown no insecurity in equally sharing the screen space with other excellent performers. Simbu continuously sets it up for Soori to score. Kudos to Simbu for the growing maturity as an actor. Soori has made the best use of his opportunities. Soori steals the show with excellent dialogue delivery and timing. Nayanthara continues to get ever better with every new movie. Nayantara keeps you hooked to the screen with her expressions and performance. Andrea impresses with her screen presence and also her beautiful acting apt for the character. Santhanam and Jai make interesting cameos to delight the audience.

Another highlight of the movie is the background music and the repeated use of “Kaathaga” song as background track in different situations. Cinematographer Balasubramniem ensures all the characters look their best and brought the scenes as lively ones. Editor Praveen has uniformly paced the movie understading Director’s ideas.  The technical team has a lot of youthfulness in its making.

The downside of he film is that the twists which sometimes are not very convincinga and are made only to move the story forward and a predictable ending. However this will not spoil your experience after watching the movie.

Final Verdict

The director has given us a breezy love entertainer which we must watch for performance from Simbu, Nayantara, Andrea and Soori.
